The report, is  the ninth to be released by the Partnership since it was established in the Children (Guernsey and Alderney) Law 2008, which was implemented in January 2010.

The report also highlights the ISCP's plan for 2019, which identifies the need for continued attention to actions under the four strategic priorities: maximising capacity and resources, managing partnership and engagement, ensuring focus on vulnerable groups, and embedding learning and improvement.

the new Pan Island  Independent Chair of the ISCP, Sarah Elliott stated

"Soon after I took up my role, I was pleased to contribute to the excellent annual conference which we co-hosted with colleagues leading delivery of the Children and Young Peoples Plan. The conference was greatly enhanced with the input of young people who shared the findings of the Young Peoples Survey of 2019. We also benefited from expert speakers in areas such as child exploitation which has informed our priorities for 2020."
